Awaiting 2016 Fiat Tipo India launch confirmation

There is a lot of anticipation as to the 2016 Fiat Tipo India launch date, although we are awaiting conformation as to weather this model will actually be coming to India. However, with some luck we should learn details of this at the Geneva Motor Show in March, next year.

Looking at a render of the all-new Fiat Tipo hatchback, we can see that it is very similar to the first three quarters of the Tipo sedan, which was released in Italy already.

If this is the case, then it does seem to suggest that the only thing that will change from the sedan and hatchback is the rear-end — although that was always going to be the case surely?

2016 Fiat Tipo India launch

We know that the people of India would like to see the all-new Fiat Tipo, as it is a car that fits with what drivers want, along with a price range that could prove competitive based on the sedan version.

So we know that most of the styling should be similar, but so is the engine lineup. These are the 1.4-litre and a 1.6-litre petrol engines and the 1.3-litre and a 1.6-litre diesel units.

Both petrol versions have manual and automatic gearbox options, whereas the diesels only come with a manual transmission.

There is not much else we can tell you, although we hope to learn a few more details closer to the start of the Geneva Motor Show.
