Atari ET game value and review

Earlier on this week we told you about the remarkable story of the 30-year old Atari ET game landfill, where the game was dug up in a New Mexico desert. Now that the game cartridges have been found, consumers are very eager to know the Atari ET game value, since some of the recovered games are now appearing on Ebay.

We expected the games to turn up for sale after the monumental find, and unsurprisingly we have now seen Ebay spring to life with a collection of ET Atari 2600 games for sale.

At the moment, bidding is still very low and reasonable, but expect to participate in a bidding war as the deadline draws closer. One such listing has the game for sale with a $9.99 starting bid, but at the moment that particular listing has 0 bids and 11 hours left on the timer – so that is bound to change.

For those who have already put in a bid and are looking to know what you have purchased, we include an Atari ET game review at the bottom. Remember that this is a game that some argue ‘almost killed the gaming industry’ back in the 80s, so bear that in mind as you watch.

Everyone is saying how bad the game looks, but it’s important to remember that this was back in 1983. We think it’s great that the Atari ET buried headlines have brought the legendary game maker back into the limelight as another history lesson for the younger generation.

Are you tempted to bid for a cartridge on Ebay?
