Before you get over-excited over the fact that the ASUS ZenWatch now gets its Android 5.1.1 Lollipop support, just remember that it will still not bring WiFi support. This is because the ZenWatch does not feature a WiFi radio. We know this is a bit of a pain, although the update still brings it a lot closer to the LG Watch Urbane.
Ok, so we know that the Urbane is a lot newer and does boast a few more features, but both these smartwatches are the only ones to support Android 5.1.1 at this time — although we highly doubt it will be this case for long, as others are sure to follow.
Putting the WiFi issue aside, there is still a lot to get excited over with this latest update, as it now features always-on app support, new navigation gestures, being able to draw emojis and so much more.
If your watch has not offered you this update automatically, then you could always go down the route of forcing the update. There are more details on how to do this here, although some of you might want just wait rather than going all through the hassle.
We would love to hear from those of you who have downloaded and installed this update, and tell us how it has improved your overall experience, and if the battery life is better or worse?
