ASUS VivoBook S300 revealed, price and release incoming

It seems ASUS are continuing to give consumers more choice when it comes to their VivoBook notebooks and the latest reveal is a 13-inch version called the VivoBook S300, which is a happy medium between the 11.6-inch and 14-inch models. Weighing in at around four pounds it is just 0.8 inches thick and is said to be everything you want from a thin-and-light notebook at a reasonable price.

The ASUS‘s VivoBook line has been established for sometime and the new VivoBook S300 is expected in both premium and budget options. In an article on Slash Gear, they talk about this low-key reveal and mention the specs involved, which include a Core i7 Ivy Bridge CPU along with Celeron or Pentium chips.

The S300 packs a traditional hard drive as opposed to a more modern solid-state drive, although it comes with a 44Whr battery, two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port, a VGA port and HDMI.

With six processor options, the VivoBook S300 allows the choice of the Celeron 847 ULV to the most-expensive Core i7-3517U, with the other four chips consisting of a Pentium, two Core i3 CPUs, and a Core i5. While we wait to hear more about the pricing and availability there will be some speculation amounting in a cost somewhere between the 14-inch model for $699 and the 11.6-inch model for $499. Therefore, we are interested to know whether you will be looking to pick up an ASUS VivoBook S300 for around $600?
