ASUS Transformer Prime: Gathering visual reviews

Earlier on we informed you that many customers are still waiting for their lovely ASUS Transformer Prime tablets to arrive. While you wait for retailers to ship your device, we thought we would keep you in good spirits with a collection of excellent video reviews for the Prime.

Some lucky consumers have already received their Transformer Prime in the US, but for everyone else it is looking like December 20 or December 22nd could be the magical shipping date, so not long to go at all.

The unique laptop / notebook device if you didn’t know is the first tablet is the world to ship with a Tegra 3 quad-core processor from NVIDIA. For these reasons alone, the Transformer Prime is in high demand as you can imagine, and you’ll see in the following videos that the device is well worth waiting for.

First, we have a review from The Verge for you to take a look at, which includes notable praise for the excellent 10.1-inch IPS display screen featured on the Prime. The separate dock accessory has been well documented already, an add-on that will transform the Prime into a fully fledged notebook. Taking pictures on the Prime is surprisingly impressive too, as The Verge is very impressed with what the 8 megapixel camera can produce, both in daylight and low-light conditions.

The second video we have to show you is a review courtesy of TechnoBuffulo, which asks viewers if the ASUS Transformer Prime is the ‘new tablet king’ or not. This clip is over 20 minutes in length, so if you have nothing better to do make sure you take the time to check out this handy video review in full. We’ve also added a third video from Slashgear which also contains an unboxing, for those of you that want to see that aspect.

Do you have a Transformer Prime on pre-order already? Hopefully it won’t be long until you can get your own private hands-on time with the device.
