Amazon Kindle App: Now Pre-Installed on Asus Notebooks and Netbooks

In the last couple of years eReaders have become more and more popular, at the moment Amazon’s Kindle devices are at the forefront of the market, therefore it is no surprise that their Kindle for PC software has also become very popular.

Amazon have recently revealed that their Kindle for PC software will now come pre-installed on a few of Asus’ notebook/netbook models, such as three different ultrathin notebooks, the 1005PE, UL30A-X5K and UL30VT-X1K.

Just in case your are unaware of the Kindle for PC software it is a pretty simplistic idea, delivered in an easy to use application, you can read and buy books on your PC (no Kindle required), or if you prefer you can use Whispersync to access books, note and marks etc from your Kindle device.

Personally I find this deal quite strange as Asus have been doing their best to impact the eReader market with their own devices, which directly compete with Amazon’s Kindle.

If you would like to try out the software yourself it can be downloaded for free here, for more details regarding the Asus deal check out the link below.
