Asus Eee Slate EP121 Tablet: Official UK release Date / Price

Back at the beginning of March we provided our readers with a few details for the Asus Eee Slate EP121 Windows 7 tablet, including specs and details on the UK release date. Although an exact launch date and a UK price were unfortunately not available at that stage.

However, according to a recent article by Chris Martin over at, the official UK release date and price have now been revealed. The 12.1-inch Eee Slate EP121 tablet is now available to pre-order from the website, and will be arriving on April 10th.

Asus originally said that it would go on sale in the first quarter of the year, so the tablet’s release has been slightly delayed. Now we move onto the interesting part and that is the price!! If you want to buy the Asus Eee Slate EP121 Windows 7 tablet, it will set you back a whopping £999.99.

The Asus Eee Slate EP121 is powered by a speedy 1.86GHz Intel Core i5 processor, and comes with a 12.1-inch LED backlit display with a resolution of 1200 x 800, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 64GB SSD data storage drive, 2 USB 2.0 ports, Wi-Fi, a 2MP webcam and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

Considering how much more you can do on it compared to the ipad the price doesn't seem exorbitant.
but time will tell and no doubt big discoiunts will eventually arrive [particularly if sales are poor !]]
