ASUS Eee PC T101MT Now Available: Lacks Multitouch Support

There is no denying that sales of new netbooks will be seriously affected by the recent release of the Apple iPad, and this is just the first wave of attacks from tablet devices. Netbooks still have some fight left though — but we are uncertain if the ASUS’ 10-inch Eee PC T101MT with its lack of multitouch support is one of them.

We know how popular the iPad device is, but we its lack of Flash Player support and other key features needed to perform day-to-day tasks — people will keep on buying netbooks. This is great news for the likes of ASUS and other computer makers.

Engadget reports that the ASUS Eee PC T101MT is finally available to purchase, but as it only comes installed with Windows 7 Starter OS, it lacks that much-needed multitouch support. However, you should not have to wait long until the Windows 7 Premium version becomes available.

The Asus Eee PC T101MT-EU17-BK will cost you $511.82 from Amazon, visit their website for specs and full details.
