ASUS Eee PC 1025C netbook: Specs, price and release info

The 2011 Computex computer expo only kicked off a couple of days ago, and ASUS has already managed to introduce a number of new products including the PadFone, the ROG G53SX gaming notebook, the ASUS Eee PC X101 notebook and most recently, the ASUS Eee PC 1025C netbook.

According to a recent article over on the techinstyle.tv website, the ASUS Eee PC 1025C will ship with the brand new Intel Cedar Trail Atom processor, which is based on 32nm process technology. The CPU has full support for Blu-ray 2.0, higher clock speeds, full support for DirectX 10.1 and HD decoding.

The ASUS Eee PC 1025C also comes with a 10.1-inch display with a 1024 x 600 resolution, a 0.3-megapixel camera and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, HDMI, audio jacks, a card reader and USB 2.0. As Peter Cartwright at netbooknews.com notes, it also features up to 2GB of DDR3 RAM and up to 500GB hard drive.

There are in fact two models available: the ASUS Eee PC 1025C and the 1025CE. The 1025CE is said to be higher end, with a metal finish as opposed to the plastic finish on the C. According to lilliputing.com, the 1025C will be available in black, gray, white, brown, pink, blue and red.

Meanwhile, the ASUS Eee PC 1025CE will be available in pink, blue and purple. The 1025C is priced up at $249, while the higher end 1025CE has been priced up at $279. Both models should be available later in the year. Do you like the sound of the ASUS Eee PC 1025 netbook?
