Asus Eee Pad: Release Date, Price and Specs

We have some good news for those of you looking for an alternative to the Apple iPad, as Asus has confirmed that they will be launching their own tablet device, named the ‘Asus Eee Pad’.

As reported from ZdnetAsia, it will run on Google’s Android operating system and will be available to buy sometime in July.

Confirmed specs so far include an Nvidia Tegra processor, Adobe Flash 10.1, USB connectivity and a webcam. Full details on the Eee Pad will be available at the Computex event in Taiwan this June.

We do have an estimated price for the tablet though – around US$479 to US$510. That means that those of you not opting for the iPad have some other interesting alternatives this year.
