We first learned of the ASUS Eee Keyboard back at CES 2009, there have been a number of delays, but now we are getting ever closer to a shipping date. In anticipation to this, Amazon now has the latest computer product up for pre-order for $599 – $100 more than was first assumed.
ASUS have been trying to do what Apple does, and that is create a totally new device that consumers will want — not sure if this is it though? Final specs have not been released yet, but Engadget believes that the computer will come packing with a 1.6GHz Atom N270 CPU, 16GB SSD and 1GB of DDR2 RAM.
Looking at these specs, they are very similar to a number of netbooks on the market. What makes this keyboard stand out in the crowd is its 5-inch LED-backlit multitouch screen to the right-hand side. There is no final release date, but it had been assumed to be late April, but we do not have many more days left in this month.
Do you think the ASUS Eee Keyboard Is something you will buy?
