If you attended Eurogamer yesterday or plan to over the weekend, then you need to check out Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag because the gameplay is just superb. However, we found it hard to look at the Xbox 360 and PS3 demos of the game because we knew next-gen consoles were on hand waiting to flex their muscles.
We got to see Assassin’s Creed 4 being played on the PS4, and we have to say the graphics have taken a huge leap, but not as much as we would have hoped. Having said that, we have to remember developers have not had long and will take a few years before they can fully exploit the true potential of next generation consoles.
With this in mind we thought we would have a look at the two next-gen consoles to see how they compare while playing the same game, because it is far better for you to decide rather than us giving an opinion, as you might not agree. However, it is not as easy as we would have hoped.
Assassin’s Creed 4 Xbox One vs. PS4 gameplay footage — Below are two videos showing you footage of AC4 on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, just to give you a chance to see how they compare to current-gen. Okay, so the footage is different, but it gives you an idea of what to expect.
The first video of Assassin’s Creed 4 PlayStation 4 gameplay footage was from Eurogamer. This video gives you a look at the lush jungle foliage, which comes to life on the PS4, but no doubt will look just as good on the Xbox One.
There doesn’t seem to be any Xbox One footage of AC4, but we have found another video that is said to be alternating footage between both next-gen consoles, but it is hard to tell the difference.
What console will Assassin’s Creed 4 look better on, the Xbox One or the PS4?
