Assassin’s Creed 4 gameplay that Xbox One users won’t get

If you didn’t know already, the PS3 and PS4 versions of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag are going to be shipping with exclusive content, content that isn’t a timed exclusive and won’t be available on Xbox 360 or Xbox One versions.

This week, Sony and Ubisoft have given fans a preview of this upcoming content, by releasing gameplay showing a solid preview of some of the missions that will feature Aveline de Grandpré. Some of you will instantly recognize that name as she was the main hero of AC: Liberations on the PS Vita.

PS3 and PS4 users will be getting three exclusive missions, content which Ubisoft has said provides around 60 minutes of extra gameplay that isn’t on other platforms. The video you see above shows game director Ashraf Ismail talk about these missions, confirming that the story for the extra content will take place directly after events from Liberations.

This video alone is also an excellent opportunity to see how beautiful the PS4 is looking too in the graphics department, particularly the underwater and jungle scenes showing amazing fish and vibrant foliage.

Skip to 1:40 on the video to get a breakdown of some of the weaponry that Aveline will possess. Take particular note to the amazing skills that she’ll have with the machete – a blade that was a firm favorite for those who played as her in Liberations.

As good as this content looks, is it disappointing to the neutral gamer who may now miss out on this bonus content by picking up the Xbox One version?

We are still in a world where all of these hidden under the table agreements over exclusive content exist, when will it end?give us your thoughts on this.
