Assassin’s Creed 4: Freedom Cry DLC release date revealed

A release date for the highly anticipated Freedom Cry DLC for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag has been revealed. The date for your diary should be the 17th of December, where the game add on will be available for download on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 platforms.

We have not had word yet of a launch for the PC, although we expect to hear when it will be made available in due course. We also do not have confirmation on the price yet, although it would be reasonable to assume it would cost 800 Microsoft points or $10 as with previous DLC’s. Those who have already purchased the season pass may download Freedom Cry for free.

It is unclear whether the DLC will be made available to Wii U players, it is likely Ubisoft will make an announcement with further details shortly. The DLC will add around another 4 hours of gameplay and is set 7 years after the events of Black Flag. For details on the Blackbeard’s Wrath DLC, check out one of our previous articles.

Will you be downloading Freedom Cry, what kind of extra content would you like to see added to the game?
