Assassin’s Creed 3 stimulation gets you free DLC

How are you finding Assassin’s Creed 3 at the moment? Is it the best game you have played this year so far? If you have already started on the multiplayer mode, you’ll be pleased to hear that we have news of a unique promotion which can score you some free DLC depending on where you live.

We have seen in the past with Battlefield 3, on how drinking Dr Pepper could actually grant you some in-game codes to download some free dog tags which could be used on the multiplayer mode. This cross-brand trend is still only finding its feet in the gaming industry, but Ubisoft has decided to join in on the action, by giving players a free multiplayer character when they consume the energy drink NOS.

If you head to the NOS website, you’ll see that there are a whole variety of different rewards to be had, with each can or bottle scoring you points, which can be redeemed on their website. You’ll now see that there is a promotion involving Assassin’s Creed 3, to get the Caleb Garret Sharpshooter character for 1 point.

While the deal seems easy enough, the big problem here for many is that this appears to be a US-only promotion, just like the BF3 Dr Pepper one. It means that a lot of disappointed gamers are going to miss out on the free DLC, unless they can convince an American friend to share a few points out so that they can get the character as well.

The promotion will run until January 2013 and at the moment, there are plenty of codes still to be had – almost 50,000 of them. The question is, do they sell NOS energy drinks where you live? Let us know if you have already taken advantage of this offer, or if you have found a way to get the character, living outside of the US.
