Ashes Cricket 2013 release delay, second test likely

We have some disappointing news to bring to cricket fans now. As we come to the close of the first test between England and Australia, many fans had been expecting the Ashes Cricket 2013 game to release within the same period though. Unfortunately though, it’s not going to happen as we can confirm that the game has been delayed until the end of the year.

As we told you in a previous report here, the game was originally due to be released to coincide with the start of the first series between the two teams. It obviously didn’t happen though and as a result, angered many fans in the process who were venting their frustration at not only the release delay, but also the lack of communication from developers Trickstar Games and publishers 505 Games.

The nightmare continues this week, as we can tell you that Ashes Cricket 2013 will now be released in November instead. 505 Games has said that basically the game is nowhere near a release and the team at Trickstar Games now needs more time to fine-polish certain areas in order to get it up to ‘Ashes’ standard.

With the game now coming out in November, it now looks like the plan is to release Ashes Cricket 2013 in time for the second test series between England and Australia. Just for reference, the return leg of the series is due to start on November 21 in Brisbane, so we’ll have to wait and see if 505 Games will commit to getting the game out before or exactly on that date.

As a cricket fan who was expecting the game in June, what are your thoughts on this? Are you prepared to wait until November to play the game, or have you lost the excitement for the game now?
