Asda the cheapest place to buy FIFA 12 so far

FIFA 12 is almost here. Many of you have already pre-ordered it and are waiting patiently for its release, either tomorrow or Friday depending where you are in the world. Those who have purchased the EA Season Ticket for Xbox 360 have already got the game early. If you are one of those who hold out and wait to see which retailer is offering the game for the cheapest, then you will be pleased to hear that Asda will be offering their online customers the game for £35.

This offer is for the special edition version of the game and is only available online, not at actual Asda stores, according to MCV. Those who choose to purchase it from there will be saving themselves £25 from FIFA 12’s RRP. While there are bound to be more offers from other retailers, so far this is the best we’ve heard about. For an idea of what you can expect the special edition to include click the link above.

The offer commemorates the launch of Asda’s independent in-house entertainment site which was previously handled by The Hut Group. If you’re beginning to think that you have been robbed, as you have already pre-ordered the game for more from Asda, then don’t worry as if this is the case the grocers say you will be refunded the difference. The new website expects the game to sell out and intend on making more offers in the build up to Christmas.

The website usually offers items that can be purchased from Asda at the same price or like in this case cheaper. The company’s head of online MVG, Frazer Locke, told MCV ‘Now we are in charge of our own destiny.’ What are your thoughts on this offer from Asda? Will you be getting FIFA 12 from there or will you wait and see what other offers emerge?
