Archos 7 Home Tablet: Impressive Hands-on Video

If you have been looking for an alternative to Apple’s iPad you may want to check out Archos’ 7 Home Tablet, an impressive video of this tablet can be seen at the end of this post.

This tablet features a 7-inch display and runs Google Android, it is powered by a 600MHz ARM9 processor which is capable of 720p HD video playback (7 hours from a full charge).

This tablet costs just $179 in the USA and €149 in Europe which is much better than the iPad’s pricing which starts at $479.

The video shows that the Android OS is pretty responsive and is more than capable of delivering a good web and multimedia experience, I must say after watching the video I considered purchasing one.

Do you like the look of the Archos 7 Home Tablet? Is it a real alternative to Apple’s iPad?
