Apple’s Profit Per iPad Sale: Making a killing

Are you thinking of picking up an Apple iPad next month? If so, you might want to check out this interesting article we have found, which shows you just how much profit Apple is making off each iPad sold. It’s not pretty reading.

If you head over to TheBrinyDepths, you will be able to see a full breakdown chart of all the individual component costs for each version of the iPad.

As you can see, the display and touchscreen parts only cost $80, while the NAND flash costs will vary depending on which version you choose between 16GB, 32GB or 64GB.

If you go for the basic model with 3G connectivity included, total manufacturing costs equal to $257.65, but the final retail price for customers will be $629!
