Apple Watch Edition high price in US, UK debated

Now that the dust has settled on Apple’s March 9 event, the big talking point that remains is about the Apple Watch Edition high prices for consumers in US and UK.

We now know that you’ll be able to buy the Apple Watch on April 24, with pre-orders starting on April 10 at the usual first come first serve basis.

However, we also know full Apple Watch Edition pricing too and you’ll have to pay up to £13,500 in the UK and $17,000 in the US if you want the most expensive version.

There are three distinct Apple Watch models to choose from, but the Apple Watch Edition is the one that comes with real 18-karat gold plating and buckle.

There’s also that gorgeous sapphire crystal display and obviously access to the Apple Watch apps which syncs with your iPhone in real time.

It certainly looks amazing in terms of style, with all the different colors and models but is it worth the price that Apple are asking?

Apple are clearly expecting a bulk of consumers to be put off by the high price that the Edition costs, which is why you can still buy an entry level Apple Watch Sport for $349 that is a lot more affordable.

The Edition is the real eye catcher though so let us know what you think about it. Has Apple set their prices too high, or just right according to the current market with similar gold watches from rival brands?

Let us know if you plan to pre-order the Apple Watch Edition on April 10.
