Apple Watch cases will fit Series 2

As of Wednesday there has been a recurring question, and that is whether Apple Watch cases fit the Series 2 model. Now, while we do not have official news on this, looking at the dimension of the height and width being the same, for both the 38mm and 42mm versions, although there is a slight difference with the depth/thickness, the answer is a yes.

The current model measures 10.5mm, whereas the 2016 Apple Watch refresh is 11.4mm, so an extra millimetre thick almost. With there hardly being anything in it at all we have to assume that the current range of cases will in fact fit.

Not only that, but with the lack of new Apple Watch 2 Series cases showing up on some of the top accessory websites such as Spigen, we have to assume that they know their cases they currently sell will fit just fine. This means if you have a Spigen Rugged Armor case, then you should be able to use it for your new generation of Apple Watch.

We have done a great deal of searching, and are unable to come across any cases for the Series 2 Apple Watch, so this does pretty much mean there is no need to worry, as the current model cases will be just fine to use.
