Apple Sued By Teen Model For iPhone App Pictures

A 19-year-old female model from New York has found an iPhone app that resided on the iTunes App Store contained illicit photographs of her without her permission, and is now suing Apple for $1 million.

Rebecca Battino, an aspiring model is reportedly suing Apple on the grounds that an application called eXtreme Cam Girls was listed on the iTunes App Store and contained pictures of her that were not used by her permission.

Battino said that “I was just upset that I’m not being paid for my pictures.” She also stated that she was “not embarrassed” by the photos.

Samba Studios, the company behind eXtreme Cam Girls nor Apple are responding to requests for comment over the issue which was filed in a Manhatten federal-court last week.

The app has since been removed from the iTunes App Store as further investigations continue.

This adds to last months reports of pop singer Lilly Allen also suing Apple over a hacked laptop.
