Apple Store craze begins for iPad Air, but no gold

It appears that consumers are already preparing themselves for another Apple launch frenzy. Apple Stores are already being hammered by eager consumers looking to snap up an iPad Air, despite the fact that Apple has already confirmed the buy start date to be November 1.

With the madness surrounding the gold iPhone 5S and its crazy black market price though in countries like Hong Kong, it appears that some are not taking any chances and are looking to pick up an iPad Air, simply for resell purposes.

Surprisingly though, there will be no gold version of the iPad Air this time. We thought Apple would capitalize on the immense popularity for the gold color, but the iPad Air is officially only going to be available in Space Grey and Silver.

We say officially, as it was only a few days ago when we showed you photos that emerged from China, suggesting that a gold iPad Air was already finished. What will become of this model now – is it a product that Apple still plans to make available at a later date?

One thing we can bet for certain though, Apple’s Store servers in Hong Kong and other countries are going to be in complete chaos when we get to just past midnight on November 1.

Are you planning to join the masses and hope to play the online lottery and secure a purchase as soon as the Store makes them available? Let us know which color you plan to buy and whether you are disappointed that there is no iPad Air gold color this time.
