Apple is now rolling out Dolby Atmos support for iTunes Movies

Apple is now getting ready to offer full Dolby Atmos support on Apple TV with all movies purchased through iTunes.

Before that though, there is the ongoing beta testing builds and so far we hadn’t seen Dolby Atmos support make an appearance within the beta – until now that is.

As spotted by 9to5Mac, Apple has now updated several movies in the iTunes store which are able to benefit from Dolby Atmos, as long as you have a supporting pair of Dolby Atmos powered speakers of course.

Some of the movies that are confirmed to have Dolby Atmos support right now on the Apple tvOS beta 12 are Deadpool 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Suicide Squad, Peter Rabbit and Justice League.

On top of 4K support, it now adds to the ultimate experience for Apple TV owners who want to get as close to a cinema-style feel when watching their favourite movies.

Are you happy about this? Let us know if you are ready to start enjoying Dolby Atmos movies on your Apple TV.
