It may not be the first time that we’ve heard about people’s much wanted features for Apple’s next software update iOS 5.0, but one blogger appears to have asked for two rather interesting features and provided an explanation as to why they would want them.
As Hoe Teck Hwa at javahoe.blogspot.com recently noted, the two features that he would really like to see included in iOS 5.0 are beaming and USB mass storage. As Hoe notes, Android OS users have always had the ability to mount the SD Card as a USB mass storage device.
Apple iOS users are currently restricted to transferring files via PC iTunes, but Hoe is hoping that this will change with iOS 5. The author hopes that Apple will at least dedicate a single directory and have the API enable access to the said directory, allowing users to read or copy files by way of USB plug-in.
The other feature that he mentioned is beaming, which is the ability to send contacts, files and data etc between two devices. Hoe hopes that iOS 5 brings NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, enabling users to exchange data etc between two iOS devices.
What other features would you like to see in iOS 5.0?
