Apple iPhone 4G: Student Interest is double in 2010 – Study

We have an interesting article for you to read now, in which a recent study has concluded that student interest for the iPhone is more than double this year, compared to interest for the iphone last year.

As reported from Apple Insider, a study has been compiled by researchers over at investment firm Piper Jaffray. Out of 6,000 high school students that were polled, 31% of them are planning to buy an iPhone in the next six months, compared to the figure of 16% the previous year.

Analyst Gene Munster had this to say on the findings: “Both interest and actual market share has grown steadily since Apple introduced the iPhone, and we expect this to continue.”

We are not surprised at this really. With the iPhone 4G widely expected to be available this Summer, we imagine that the handset will be top of many student’s wish lists as they look to have the hottest handset available before they return to their studies.

Let us know your thoughts on this. There is more analysis over at Apple Insider.
