The Apple iPad mini event invitations have landed for the Oct 23 event, which is just as we previously predicted last week and arrived spot on the 7/8-day window as with all Apple press events. We say Apple iPad mini invitation thanks to a few clues in the invite, and also the numerous reports we seen over the last few weeks, which clearly point to a new 7-inch iPad mini and also a few other products that are smaller than most.
Earlier today we saw the iPad mini price leak and some other leaked images pointed to a slimmer 2012 iMac, which would also be joined by a new Mac Mini, and all of these products are expected to be included in the Apple announcement on Oct 23 at the California Theatre in San Jose.
The part of the invitation we wanted to highlight is seen in the image below, which states “we’ve got a little more to show you”. Only Apple really know what this means but after the iPhone 5 invites that clearly showed the real name for Apple’s 6th generation iPhone, it now seems that Apple are becoming quite predictable with what they tease on the event invites, so something “little” when paired with all the rumors is obviously for a new 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, and iPad mini.
What about the 2012 iMac that is well overdue for a refresh? We’re expecting Apple to feature the iPad mini as the main product, although this will share the stage with the Mac Mini and smaller Retina MacBook Pro, but we could also see Apple silently launch a refreshed iMac or they might feature it onstage considering this all-in-one is also expected to be smaller/slimmer.
There you have it PR readers, the Apple Oct 23 event invitation, so hit the comments with your predictions. Now it will be interesting to see how the public respond to the real iPad mini price when it arrives, and how this competes with other 7-inch tablets already available to buy. In our opinion it will be massively popular, which is thanks to Apple somehow managing to convince consumers to buy. The invite image is thanks to this source.
