Apple iPad event 2014 countdown is on

We have around eight hours to go until Tim Cook once again takes to the stage to unveil Apple’s latest worst kept secrets. The iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 tablets were already exposed early by Apple in an embarrassing mistake, but there’s a lot more potential reveals which haven’t been spoiled yet.

Most Apple fans are now expecting new tablets to arrive, so the excitement factor doesn’t appear to be as high as it was a few weeks ago after the iPhone 6 event.

Two new product reveals that could bring back the wow factor though, are a new Apple TV 4th generation and a brand new 2014 MacBook Air laptop. We doubt we will see either, but those appear to be what consumers would like to see most.

Above is a reminder of the Apple October event start time, which we’ve now compiled inside a nice visual countdown. 10am Pacific Time is when the event will begin and you can check out the time zone conversion to your local city in a separate report here.

It’s a shame that Apple slipped up by revealing the new iPads ahead of schedule and we can only hope that Apple has some other new products to show to keep the show going.

We wouldn’t be surprised if Tim Cook makes a joke about it too on stage, as we remember Steve Jobs showing his humorous side on occasion when product leaks slipped out on the eve of the event itself.

Are you still planning to tune into the event live regardless of Apple’s leak? Remember that you can watch a live stream on Apple’s website.
