Apple iPad 3G: Video shows iPhone SMS App running

We have some exciting news to bring you now, as we have a video to show you, which confirms that the native SMS App on the iPhone is able to run on the iPad WiFi + 3G tablet.

As reported from BGR, the video comes to us from the iPhone Dev Team who have once again surpassed themselves with a working SMS app for iPad.

It goes without saying that you’ll need to jailbreak your iPad if you want to try this out, but it might be a worthwhile process for many of you, if it turns out that you’ll be able to send and receive text messages on AT&T through the iPad.

What are your thoughts on this? Would you be willing to jailbreak your iPad 3G if this works, or do you consider this to be too risky? We’ll update you when we know more details.
