Apple iPad 3G: AT&T to release in stores

Treat this as a rumor for now, but we are hearing that AT&T are planning to support the 3G version of the upcoming Apple iPad by stocking and selling it direct throughout their U.S stores.

Thats according to this tipoff from BGR, who have stated that AT&T will be converting their existing in-store netbook displays into fully fledged booths for the new iPad.

Seems pretty logical to us. We knew the iPad 3G would be coming to AT&T as soon as it becomes available, so why wouldn’t they want to make a big deal out of it.

If you didn’t know already, the 3G version of the iPad is expected to release during April, so still quite some time away yet. Let us know what you think of this.
