Apple features “Fitaide” on iTunes App Store

We recently reported on Fitaide Lite, a free app for iPhone and iPod Touch users. Apple is now highlighting the full version on its front page of the App Store, in over 65 countries worldwide including Canada and the US.

With a built in 3D Motion Sensor, Fitaide tracks calorie burn and exercise intensity, as a user does any activity while on their feet. Progress is stored and the app can decide if an improvement is being made in overall fitness levels, by accurately measuring distance, speed and steps taken. Users ideally strap the device to the body or can simply place it in a pocket.

Developed by Poscitech, Fitaide has been given positive reviews by fitness experts and users, since it first hit the App Store. The app even allows music to be played from the device library while the user is exercising. Fitaide 1.0 is $1.99 on the App Store. iPhone/iPod Touch required with OS 3.0 or later.
