Apple Announcement: Will the event show a games console?

Apple’s event is just a few hours away therefore there is a lot of speculation as to what “Apple’s latest creation” will be, it is most likely that this latest creation is the rumored Apple Tablet, or perhaps the iPhone 4G, however a recent article posted on TechRadar looks into the possibility of Apple releasing a games console.

It has been revealed that 1 in 3 Brits believe that an Apple games console could be under development, and according to a survey carried out 50% of the people who carried out the poll would buy an Apple games console.

Personally I very much doubt that an Apple games console will be revealed later today, however I’m sure it is something that Apple are seriously considering.

With Microsoft’s Xbox 360, Sony’s PlayStation 3 and the Nintendo Wii I do not feel that there is much need for another games console, however if Apple can offer something different then what these games consoles offer I feel it could do well.

Would you buy an Apple games console? If so, what would you like it to feature?
