Apple AirPods tracking number not working

It’s a big day if you are an Apple fan, one is because delivery of the AirPods are taking place today for those that got their order in early enough, and second, because you can order your AirPods in store from today, December 19 as well. There is some bad news though because we know that people will be trying to track their delivery, and we are getting reports that the Apple AirPods tracking number is not working in the UK – although we suspect this is also an issue in the US.

People that are expecting their delivery in the UK today of these AirPods do seem to be having tracking issues, and they have not been shy about complaining about it on Reddit. Questions have been asked about if anyone is able to track their parcel via DPD? When people have been entering their racing number, they are met with the message, “The tracking number Apple has provided isn’t recognised on the DPD tracking webpage”. Not only that, but the tracking number is not recognised when calling DPD either.

The strange thing is, this is the tracking number given to them by Apple, and also had confirmation from them that the item was dispatched. Some people have said that this is to be expected because it’s still going through the system, but it’s not isolated to just to DPD, as we have also been hearing of the same issue for those having their AirPods delivered by UK Mail, Syncreon and DHL.

We do have some good news for you though, and that is the fact that some of our readers have been getting in touch to say that these delivery services have started to update their website, so that tracking is now showing up for them.

Just remember though, if you decide to order a set of AirPods today, then expect to wait at least four weeks for a pair, as they are in very high demand.
