With CES 2011 now underway we will undoubtedly be overwhelmed with fresh new tablets to check out, recently an AOC press contact emailed me regarding their new Breeze tablet.
As you can see from the image above the AOC Breeze is not as visually appealing as the Apple iPad or Samsung Galaxy Tab, however it will sell for just under $200, which means it is under half the price of its most impressive rivals.
The cheap price tag is reflected in the specs, however that said it may still be worth checking out, you get Google Android 2.1 Eclair, an 8-inch touch-screen display, WiFi b/g, 4GB of internal memory, full USB 2.0 support. a microSD memory card reader and up to 12 hours of audio playback / 6 hours of video playback.
Sadly we cannot confirm how much RAM and what processor this product uses, therefore performance is currently unknown, that said a recent Tech2 article suggests that it is powered by a 600MHz AM9 processor, which isn’t too disappointing.
If and when we come across a hands-on video showing this tablet’s functionality and performance we will be sure to post it on Product-Reviews, do you think the AOC Breeze is worth purchasing?
