The release date for the 2014 Corvette Stingray is drawing ever closer, and as you would imagine dealers are anticipating assembly dates for the C7. Having already seen several of these new models on the streets, as well at various auto shows, the excitement levels are now increasing, and so it’s no surprise that those who are going to purchase one are finding it very tough to remain patient.
We expect the 2014 Corvette C7 Stingray pre-order numbers are now in, because we are told that General Motors already has the ordering consensus, which means they should now know how many C7 vehicles each dealer needs. Now GM has the tough task of trying to allocate these new models to dealers who have generated these C7 pre-orders.
Dealers had up until May 30th to get their orders in to GM, although they were allowed to send them off by June 1, 2013 the latest. So if this is the case then GM surely has a good idea of how many all-new Chevy Corvette Stingray’s they have to assemble, and as a result could give us a tentative date of when dealers will receive these C7’s.
Having said that, there could be 2014 Corvette C7 Stingray production delays because of it being a new vehicle, and so the production lines could run into issues. Whatever happens, it won’t be long before we will start to see several of these C7’s on our streets, but we can’t wait to see what it will look like on the big screen, as it will appear in Transformers 4 as a new Autobot.
It might surprise you that Chevrolet is still testing the Corvette Stingray, as another of these C7 vehicles was spotted taking part in some high altitude testing, just to make certain that all will be fine for those who live at higher altitudes and decide to get themselves a C7. You can see a video of this below.
