Angry Birds Coming to Facebook: Will you play?

Angry Birds, the popular app that has been played on millions of mobile devices will come to Facebook in the coming months as developers decide to branch the game onto different platforms. The game that involves propelling a bird from a catapult into a structure of carefully balanced panels has taken the handheld world by storm especially following its App Store launch.

The app has it’s own Facebook page which it used to announce the news of the arrival and the release date which has been set for April. The page also promised more information to come to those that signed up or “liked” the page which so many have done already.

It has also been mentioned that the developers are bringing it to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 as well as Facebook, the reviews have already said there are positives and negatives to this as the game looks blocky and unattractive, however the functionality is aided by the precision brought to you through the analog sticks.

Angry Birds became the top-selling paid app at the App Store in Spring 2010 and has recieved over 50 million downloads after a year of being available, therefore hopes are high for the Facebook launch, who knows, in a few years time it may be another cult classic like the ‘Worms’ series. Will you be playing Angry Birds on Facebook this April?
