If you’re an Android mobile user you find you seem to always get caught speeding when you don’t even realize you’re doing it, by cameras you don’t even know are there, then that could all change now that the Cobra iRadar speed detection app is available to you.
Since last year Cobra’s app has been assisting iPhone users in avoiding speeding by warning them when a speed gun or camera is detected, it also warns them when they are over the current speed limit. The announcement that the iRadar system will also feature on Android devices came at the gdgt Live event at SXSW.
According to the article by Damon Lavrinc at Translogic, the app will be available sometime in April. Cobra uses a combination of the app and a radar detector that can be mounted to the dashboard and takes advantage of the GPS already on the Android device.
