Android 5.0 release schedule reaffirmed

We recently spoke about one eagerly anticipated Android project on the way with Android Silver, but if you ask Android owners what they would most like to see next, most will probably turn around and say that they need a confirmed Android 5.0 release date.

Google are expected to unveil a new Nexus 10 tablet in 2014 and it could still be the first device to run on a brand new and major version of Android. The actual name of Google’s next software is still keeping everyone guessing, while there’s also whispers continuing to speculate that we could even see Android 4.5 next, instead of Android 5.0.

Considering that we didn’t see Android 5.0 at Google I/O 2013, it is going to be a major shock if we still don’t see Google’s new software at Google I/O this Summer. Consumers know that the software is on the way soon and it will arrive on brand new hardware which is very exciting for all Android users.

The big question is when Google will release Android 5.0 to the public. We may see the company unveil the latest software at Google I/O, but we could be waiting until the end of the Summer until Android 5.0 is actually available.

What will be the next dessert on the list?
What will be the next dessert on the list?

Don’t forget that Android 5.0 updates for devices such as the Galaxy S5, Galaxy S4 and Nexus 7 tablets will take time. Google I/O officially takes place between June 25-26, but it probably won’t be the date in which a new phone or tablet will go live with Android 5.0.

Consumers have been waiting for the new software for a year now, but patience is going to be needed once again as we are still months away from a full release.

How long have you been waiting for Android 5.0? Do you think that Android 5.0 will arrive first on a new Android Silver tablet, Nexus tablet or mobile phone first – or maybe a combination of both phone and tablet?

Give us your thoughts on the never-ending silence regarding the update.
