Android 4.4.2 update for LG G Pad 8.3 GPE coming OTA

Owners of the LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition who want the latest version of Android can now do so with an OTA update. Google has started rolling out KitKat 4.4.2/KOT49H over the air which will bring the software of LG’s tablet in line with that of the Nexus.

The update is currently being released in stages so you may have to wait before 4.4.2 is available for you. Alternatively if you do not want to wait you can install the latest version of Kitkat straight from Google’s servers at your own risk by following the Android Police guide.

This latest update should bring a number of various bug fixes as well as fresh software, we do not yet know the specifics as of yet. Once the changelog is released we will be able to see exactly what the benefits of upgrading are; the LG G Pad 8.3 GPE originally shipped with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Will you download Android 4.4.2 to your device right away or are you happy with your existing version?
