Android 2.2 Froyo Vs Android 2.1: Video Comparison

For those of you who are seeking a detailed look at the new features within Google’s new Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, we have a great video which compares the new OS with Android 2.1 Eclair.

The video comes to us courtesy of Engadget, who have provided a video comparison showing the features and differences of both versions using the Nexus One smartphone.

One of the first changes that you’ll notice with Froyo compared to Eclair, is the addition of the Phone, Dial Bar and Browser shortcuts on the bottom of the homescreen.

As you can see from the video demo, the search bar on the homescreen is also slightly different, as you can now tailor your search specifically to web, apps, or contacts.

There is also a look at the new tethering and wireless hotspot features on Froyo, and a comparison on YouTube video quality on both Android 2.1 and 2.2.

Take a look at the video under ‘What’s New’ through the link and let us know what you think.
