Android 2.2 Froyo Update: Download for T-Mobile MyTouch 3G, G1

We have some good news for owners of a MyTouch 3G or G1 handset on T-Mobile, as a team of ROM hackers have managed to come up with a stable build of Google’s Android 2.2 Froyo update.

As reported from Engadget, the build is thanks to the Cyanogen team. and while being a stable version of CyanogenMod 6, it doesn’t come with all the features within Froyo.

Notable absentees include the lack of Flash 10.1 support, but we’re glad to report that WiFi connectivity and the camera is working without any problems.

We have a full installation guide here for you to follow, but make sure you know what you are doing and understand the risks involved in performing an unofficial update.

For those of you willing to try this out, let us know how you get on.
