Android 2.2 (aka Froyo) Update: 5 Features Google Need to Fix

The Motorola Droid X and Google’s Android 2.2 FroYo update are both hot topics right now, with leaks / rumors happening on a daily basis, but how perfect is Android 2.2 OS?

One Wired editor touches on the over-the-air Froyo update coming to Evo 4G, and points to some of the cool upcoming features but after spending every day with a Motorola Droid on Android 2.1, they are a little disappointed.

Android 2.1 / 2.2 has some amazing features but the editor has posted a long article explaining improvements they wish Google would “work on instead” for Android OS. Among their complaints are the lack of “sync with business-grade Google Apps”, and a spell-check that will work consistently across the Android platform.

Visit Wired to read in detail about the need for more consistency, not letting Android apps run wild, a need for killing apps easier, a wish to re-organize the Android Market, and improvements needed for multitasking by limiting what an app can do while in the background.

What improvements do you feel Google need to make with Android?
