Today we have news that Amazon has now launched their version of the Apple Mac App Store called the Mac Download Store. It is an alternative that allows access to a lot of the same apps, games and software but the company says it even offers apps that the Apple version doesn’t.

It is for Mac OS X users same as the Apple version. The Mac Download Store currently has 51 different games titles available as well as 201 software apps compatible with the Mac. Other apps that are included are Intuit QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, an app that the Apple version doesn’t include.
