Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7″ 16GB Tablet still a hit with fans

We are continuing with our tablet watch this week, as you may have seen with a close look at some of more lesser known brands that you may be interested in picking up towards the end of this month. Now though, we switch our attention back to a firm consumer favorite – the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7-inch tablet with 16GB of memory.

If you are looking for the most popular tablet to buy this month, two obvious choices would have to be the Nexus 7 and the Amazon Kindle Fire. Both offer great functionality, but at an amazing price point that really is difficult to turn down.

Earlier this week we told you that the Nexus 7 2013 model was a steal for $229, but if you are looking for a cheaper alternative you also have to consider the Kindle Fire HD 7-inch. The previous generation model is selling for a cheaper price of $199, but you could even be able to get an even cheaper price during the sales if you look around.

In comparison, Amazon’s Kindle Fire features some decent specs. For starters, the customized user-interface is very friendly compared to the Nexus 7, while features such as a Dual-core 1.2 GHz processor and 1GB of RAM is more than enough power for the casual user.

The question is: Would you consider getting a Kindle Fire above the Nexus 7, if we see a crazy price during the sales? Everyone opts for the Nexus 7 because of specs superiority, but where does your preferences lie when picking up a tablet?

Let us know if the Kindle Fire is still a hit with you and whether you will be looking to pick up one on the cheap this month.
