Amazon are set to ship the latest version of its e-reading device dubbed as the Kindle 3 this Friday that comes in two separate flavors. Depending if you want 3G or or not, that is the choice you are going to have to make. Although if you do want it, expect to pay and extra $50 for the pleasure.
One good point about the Kindle 3 though is the fact that it’s starting price is considerably lower than that of previous Kindle‘s. plus the fact it comes with improved E-ink display, longer battery life, it’s slimmer and has faster page navigation.
The Kindle will go on sale for $189. For that you get 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, but if you don’t want nor need 3G, then you can save yourself $50 and spend just $139. There are also two different colours aswell, in standard white or graphite that was first introduced with the Kindle DX.
But the real question remains. Can It compete with other tablet devices that are in development or currently on the market?
