Amazon ignites Canon 7D Mark II release rumors

The Canon EOS 7D Mark II is a very hot topic because there is a good sign that we will see this new DSLR make an appearance in September, and with a little over a month to go until the suspected launch, the Canon 7D Mark II rumors just keep coming.

Amazon discontinues Canon 7D — We could be reading more into this, but the current 7D is marked on the Amazon US website as ‘DISCONTINUED’ and even though this could mean Canon has no plans to make a new model, there is a very good chance they already have.

There has already been a rumor suggesting that the 7D successor will be seen before the Photokina event, which is in September, and that the embargo for the 7D sequel is set to end on September 5th.

Before you begin to panic, it seems that only Amazon has discontinued the 7D, and so you are still able to purchase this aging DSLR from other retailers, but for how long?

Do you see this as the end of the Canon EOS 7D, or will Canon come up with a successor? There are some people who doubt that Canon will create a sequel because they suggest this model is now dead. However, the recent Canon 7D Mark II release rumors, along with a possible sighting during the World Cup, and an admission from the camera maker that they have a high-megapixel DSLR waiting in the wings seem to prove otherwise.

2 possible EOS 7D Mark II specs are a 46-megapixel sensor and 3D capability. These are just two possibilities, but as ever we have to take this with a grain of salt, although we only have 5 weeks to go until the rumored embargo is lifted and then we can see if any of these rumors are in fact true.
