Amazon App Store: The Apple of Android app marketplace

The well-known online retailer Amazon has launched many services in the past, including Amazon Video on Demand for streaming TV shows and movies, as well as a digital MP3 download service.

Now according to an article by Jennifer Allan over at electricpig.co.uk, it looks like an Amazon App Store will be launching, which specifically deals with Android apps. However, this may well change in the future.

Developers will of course have some content guidelines to adhere to, as Amazon wouldn’t want offensive content cluttering the app store, which could well be arriving within the next few months.

If you would like more information on this story, then head on over to electricpig.co.uk. With all the rules and guidelines being set, do you think that the new Amazon App Store will be the Apple of Android app marketplace?
