Almost a quarter of iPhone owners have Android envy

Whenever a new iPhone is rumored to be in the pipeline the net is awash with various reports of the handset, as a big number of consumers are interested in it. The latest model has seen incredible early sales as demand remains high, but according to a survey almost a quarter of iPhone owners have Android envy.

What may seem surprising to many, Cnet is reporting that a study conducted by GoodMobilePhones a number of UK adults were asked if they were satisfied with their handset. Out of the 1,694 people asked 22 percent wish they had not bothered getting the iPhone. Out of these 43 percent said they regretted getting the iPhone as they preferred the look of rival smartphones, namely Android.

There were 25 percent who blamed poor battery life for the reason why they regretted getting the iPhone. The survey was taken from a reasonable amount of people but not all of them were actual iPhone owners.

This will mean the amount of owners of the device would be lower, but it still shows a high number of users regretting making that purchase. There will be many first time owners who will have been tempted by all the fanfare and speculation of the device beforehand, but when it actually came to owning it were left a bit disappointed.

We have seen some worthy iPhone alternatives become available this year, which include the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Nexus. Trouble is this sort of disappointment can be felt with the purchase of any new tech device and not restricted to the iPhone.

Have you recently purchased a new smartphone only to be a bit disappointed with it?
