Alleged iPhone 5C more durable than iPhone 5

There are now reports of what looks to be the first iPhone 5C review of how tough the plastic rear shell is, and while this is still an alleged phone, it does look as though 2013 could finally be the year Apple release a low-cost iPhone.

This is not the first time that we have seen the iPhone 5C rear shell, but it is the first iPhone 5C durability test. Let’s say that this is the real deal and this is actually the rear of the cheaper iPhone, then it is one tough cookie.

Apple Daily were the ones who conducted the test, which saw them put a key and the iPhone 5C rear cover in a bag and then shake it vigorously. They even got the key and tried to scratch the cover, yet there were said to be no visible scratches.

Going by those results the Alleged iPhone 5C is more durable than the iPhone 5. We say this because if the same tests were to happen to the iPhone 5 then the rear of the phone will be covered in scratches.

The idea of the iPhone 5C is a good one because a cheaper model is certainly needed, although we did pick up on one issue, and that is how the release of the iPhone 5C could become an issue for the iPod touch.

Having said that, the positives more than outweighs the negatives.
