As far as we’re aware, it looks like there are 13 skulls in Halo 5 which have been expertly hidden by 343 Industries within certain areas.

Each skull carries a different effect to gameplay mechanics so it is well worth taking the time out to hunt for each one. Not to mention that collecting all skulls in Halo 5 will unlock the Gravedigger and the Gravelord achievements.
The first skull in Halo 5 is the IWHBYD Skull and you can find it after the Prometheans battle by jumping up on the cliffs before heading into the structure – as shown in the example screenshot above.
